Like so many other country folk, I am writing to add my disgust at the thought of closure of our hospital in rural Kapunda.
Kapunda has a growing community of young families who will need doctors and hospitals.
Kapunda also services areas as far as Robertstown, Morgan, Saddleworth, Eudunda and Riverton.
Where will all these people go if our hospital is closed?
A lot of retired people have also settled in Kapunda, knowing that we have a good team of doctors and a hospital.
If we don’t have a hospital, we will surely lose our doctors.
Specialists also consult and operate in our new modern facilities at Kapunda Hospital.
What a shame to adandon all that.
Country communities work tirelessly for their local hospitals, raising monies for various forms of equipment and supplies.
What gives the government the right to just come along and close them down?
How can all these people possibly be served in these so called regional hospitals, when all hospitals are now at busting point?
Closing country hospitals is just ludicrous
